The Pleasantville baseball and softball team picked up non-conference wins on Monday night. 

The Trojan baseball team upset the #7 in Class 3A ranked Grinnell Tigers at home 6-3. Dylan Aldrich was the winning pitcher for Pleasantville throwing six innings . Braylon Bingham, Logan Roff, JJ Phillips, and Brayden Kennedy all had two hit nights for the Trojans as Bingham and Kennedy’s hits were both doubles. After the win the Pleasantville baseball team improves to 19-10 overall and will be back in action tonight at home against Saydel.

The Trojan softball team picked up an 8-7 win over the North Mahaska Warhawks at home. Ella Clark had a big night offensively for Pleasantville with three singles and an RBI while six different Trojans scored runs in the game. Lainey Kennedy got the win on the mound. Coach Alee Phillips said overall it was a great game offensively and defensively. After the win, the Trojan softball improves to 17-11 overall and will next compete on Wednesday at Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont.
