The Indianola boys wrestling team placed 4th at the Bob Sharp Invitational at Ankeny High School Saturday scoring 202.5 team points, while the Indianola girls wrestlers placed 5th at Pella with 115 team points.

Top finishers for the Indians boys included first place finishes from Ryan Young at 144lbs, Elijah Blewitt at 150lbs, Jake Pontier at 157lbs, and Carson Slorah at 215lbs, while Zach O’Meara finished second at 190lbs.

The Indians girls saw a first place finish from Siera Becker at 100lbs, Callie Chapman at 125lbs, and Jazelle Smith at 170lbs, while Nora Ohnemus placed second at 105lbs.
Both Indians wrestling teams next hit the mats Thursday at Norwalk for a Little Hawkeye Conference dual.
