A budget work session is scheduled today as the Pella School Board deliberates about reductions planned for the upcoming fiscal year. No formal action will be taken, but the board will review a series of recommendations made by Superintendent Greg Ebeling to nearly $900,000 in cuts. There is a list of budget support materials and updated projections for the next five years included in the agenda. Formal action will be taken in one week about what to ultimately reduce from the general fund. Following the discussion, a closed session will be held about possible expulsion of a student. The Pella School Board meeting begins at 5:30 this evening in the Pella High School Library.
