100+ Men Red Rock donated $57,525 to local organizations in 2024.
100+ Men is a group of more than 150 local men that give back to the Lake Red Rock area by donating funds to non-profit organizations and other causes that serve in Marion County, Prairie City, and Monroe. In 2024, the organization made donations to ten local organizations including Clay Township Fire & Rescue, the Marion County Humane Society, The Gathering Place, South Central Iowa FCA, Sheepgate, the Knoxville Federated Garden Club, the Celebrate Church Food Pantry, Helping Hands, the Panther Food Pantry, and Open Air Education.
Since 2015, 100+ Men Red Rock has raised and given back $325,525 to local entities. The group meets quarterly at a site in the Red Rock area, and after a time of fellowship and food, members nominate a charitable organization they have a passion to be considered during the business portion of the meeting.
The causes that are nominated must reside in and serve the Red Rock community, and three nominees are chosen randomly at the meeting. The individual that nominates a selected organization is then given five minutes to present the cause to the other members and. the group then votes by secret ballot to determine the recipient of their quarterly donations.
