After defeating a 10-2 Albia squad 39-31 on Monday, the Pella Christian girls basketball team will look to build on that momentum in their Homecoming game against Oskaloosa on Friday.

Against the Indians, the Eagles will be looking for back-to-back victories for the first time since November 23rd and 26th, when they defeated Davis County and then Class 1A #3 Montezuma. Since then, Pella Christian has battled through multiple injuries and faced six ranked opponents in their 13 games following the road victory at Montezuma. With the team getting closer to full strength and coming off a big win over Albia Monday, senior Faith Kacmarynski said that the team is working through what it will take to keep the momentum going.

“That was one of [head] coach [Brendan] Foughty’s message in the locker room, just that we’ve got to figure out in these next few practices what we need to do to make this part of a habit and to make this part of our routine, and that we come on every single day to compete.”

Coverage of Pella Christian’s Homecoming basketball games tomorrow can be heard live on the KRLS2 stream and watched on the Pella Christian YouTube channel, beginning with pregame coverage at 5:45 pm.
