The longtime Chairman and CEO of the Vernon Company in Newton has been added to the DMACC Foundation Board. Chris Vernon and two other new members are part of 27 volunteers that make up the board. Vernon will serve a three year term that can be renewed.  

The DMACC Foundation works with individuals, businesses, and organizations to raise scholarship funds and money for faculty and program improvements. Annually, the Foundation awards over $2 million in student scholarships. 

Chris Vernon has been Chairman and CEO of the Vernon Company for over 37 years. The Vernon Company contributes over five percent of annual profits to dozens of non-profit organizations.
