
The Pleasantville girls and boys basketball teams defeated Woodward-Granger Friday night as Braylon Bingham scored 37 points in a West Central Conference doubleheader and the girls wrestling team competed at the Class 1A Regional meet hosted by Central Decatur.
The Trojan girls defeated the Hawks 52-42 to snap a five game losing streak and improve to 10-8 overall. Both Joelle Johnson and Taylor Perkins had 17 points in the contest. The Trojan boys picked up a 68-61 win with strong support from sophomore Braylon Bingham who had a massive night offensively scoring 37 points. On top of that Bingham also had 12 rebounds. The Pleasantville boys improve to 7-8 overall. The Trojan girls and boys basketball teams will be back in action today at Chariton starting with the girls game at 3:00 pm.
The Trojan girls wrestling team competed at the Class 1A Regional meet hosted by Central Decatur Friday. Pleasantville finished 15th as a team with 34.5 team points. The Trojans had three wrestlers compete and Addie Koenig placed fourth at 145 pounds and Amelia Latch placed fourth at 155. The Trojan boys wrestling team will compete today at the Charger Invitational hosted by ACGC.
