
The Indianola City Council met in regular session Monday evening. The council discussed the Indianola brush facility and spring cleanup, approving a proposal to have the facility open on April 3rd, with curbside cleanup the week of April 21st, and no spring appliance drop off at the facility. Fees will also be raised for the use of the facility, with a bag/bundle of leaves/grass now $4, trees/shrubs 7$, a pickup load is $30, and a trailer load is $35.
The council held a public hearing regarding the seizure, impoundment, and disposition of vicious animals for a dangerous dog after a dog attack, with the council voting against the Indianola Police Departments recommendation, electing to not dispose of the dogs in a 4-2 vote.
The council appointed Al Kratz and Rachel Terlop to the Indianola Public Arts Commission, and held discussions regarding the FY26 budget, Vision 2030, and the city manager search process.
