The Pella basketball teams continue a lengthy conference doubleheader homestand against Oskaloosa as the postseason approaches. Both Dutch teams remain ranked, as the boys moved up a spot to No. 9 in 3A in the IHSAA standings, while the No. 13 girls will try to overcome key injuries against the Indians girls.

The opener features two teams who played to overtime on January 7th, with the Dutch continuing a lengthy 25-game series winning streak that dates back to 2012. That could be in a bit more jeopardy tonight, as Oskaloosa has remained competitive against the Little Hawkeye Conference’s best teams and the Pella girls have been dealing with several key injuries.

Pella’s boys are working to build on a late-season surge that started with a commanding 74-32 victory on January 7th and has featured the ranked squad winning seven of eight games since that point, with the only loss coming to DCG in a nailbiter. The Dutch have won 14 consecutive games against Osky since 2018.

Coverage of tonight’s conference doubleheader for the Dutch begins at 5:45 this evening on 92.1 KRLS and Pella Dutch Live.
