The Knoxville High School Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies will take place on Friday. Four individuals will be inducted at a luncheon on Friday at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame at noon and at a ceremony in between the boys and girls basketball games against Albia Friday Night. Hall of Fame Committee Member Joe Cunningham tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he and the entire committee gets a lot of enjoyment from seeing the past athletes get recognized for their accomplishments.

Cunningham: “It’s a labor of love for us, we all love Panther Athletics. Sports are important to people, that’s why they have bleachers and fans at the game, and we want to honor these athletes, and let the current and future Panthers know you can have success.”

Indutees this year are Fred Roberts from the class of 1926, Brad Davis from the class of 1999, Zach Mahoney from the class of 2000, and Rick Kaster from the class of 1981. The induction ceremony in between games will be carried live on 95.3 KNIA. Coverage of the game is set to get underway at 6:00.
