After a few days off from competition after their competition in the Bluegrass Conference Tournament, the Melcher-Dallas basketball Squads are back on the court tonight against Cardinal. The girls are looking to beat their 3rd non-Bluegrass Conference team this season and are coming off beating Ankeny Christian in the 3rd place game of the BGC Tournament. The boys will take on a Cardinal squad that like them have struggled this season to win games. Coach Matt Bennett tells KNIA Sports that Cardinal is bigger than his team, he is looking forward to a non-conference opponent at the end of the regular season.

Bennett: “They’ve had a tough season like we’ve had. Really looking forward to seeing a different opponent and non-Bluegrass team to try to keep this streak going and momentum for the rest of the season.”

The girls game is set to begin at 6:00 with the boys to follow.
