Seven Norwalk student-athletes signed national letters of intent at the NPECC on Wednesday as part of National Signing Day.

Seniors Kadan Borcherding-Johnson, Brady Schmitz and Harrison Tripp will all join the football team at Grand View University in Des Moines. The Vikings are a perennial power at the NAIA level and earned a national championship this past December.

Norwalk senior Tavin Ferner signed with the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men’s soccer team, which made history last season by reaching the NCAA Division III Elite Eight for the first time.

Sydney Goheen will play softball at Central College in Pella. The Dutch also had a memorable season in 2024, advancing to the NCAA Division III Super Regionals.

Evan Powell will attend Carson-Newman University in Tennessee and join the Eagle Anglers fishing team.

AJ Mosqueda signed with Simpson College in Indianola and will compete for the Storm men’s track and field team.
