Warren County Health Services is reminding residents to help stop the spread of flu, COVID-19, and other illnesses during the winter months, as they are reporting multiple schools in the county at or near a 10% absenteeism due to illness.
Executive Director Dr. Joelle Stolte tells KNIA News many of the ways we keep ourselves healthy during cold and flu season are what we should be doing all year round.
“Make sure you wash your hands, and take care of yourself. If you are sick, stay home. If you have not had a vaccine or you would like a booster, please contact the Warren County Health Department. We will be providing flu vaccinations and we will have COVID-19 vaccinations for uninsured, under-insured, and even privately insured individuals. So please contact the health department and we can help you out with that.”
Stolte also said vaccines are tested thoroughly and are perfectly safe.
