The Pleasantville girls basketball team defeated Albia on the road Thursday night as the boys team came up short in a non-conference varsity doubleheader.

The Trojans knocked off the 15-3 Blue Demons 44-41 after a strong defensive performance. The Trojan girls now improve to 12-8 overall. Pleasantville was led in scoring by Taylor Perkins who had 14 points and Joelle Johnson who had 12.

The Trojan boys dropped their contest 68-40 to fall to 9-9 overall. Pleasantville was led in scoring by Braylon Bingham who had 22 points. The Pleasantville girls and boys basketball teams will be back in action tonight against ACGC. The 2024 Pleasantville Hall of Fame class will be honored at halftime of the girls game.
