Newton School District Superintendent Tom Messenger and other District officials will meet tomorrow to discuss a future change in student pick up and drop off at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School. Superintendent Messenger says the change is coming April 1st and will be in effect until the end of the school year due to the construction of the school addition, and closure of the school’s north drive. Messenger adds that while it is known that a change will occur, an official decision on what that will be has yet to be determined.

“We are working through the logistics of how to handle the drop off and pick up of our bus kids who come in that way. So there will be some communication coming out to our families about what that will look like. We want to make sure we keep the bus flow and the flow of parents picking up and dropping off their kids separated from one another.”

Messenger also says the information will hopefully be out early next week through all available sources. Hear more from Newton Schools Superintendent Tom Messenger on today’s Let’s Talk Newton.
