Newton High School Speech Students earned a combined four division 1 and 2 ratings for their performances this past Saturday in the Iowa High School Speech Association’s Large Group State Speech contest in Cedar Rapids. The Group Improv and Mean Girls Musical Theatre performances received division 1 ratings, while division 2 ratings went to the Readers Theatre group and to the Musical Theatre group for Anastasia. Newton did not receive any All-State nominations.
