The Norwalk bowling and basketball teams are all competing today as the regular season heads toward the finish line.

The Norwalk bowlers will take on Pella at 2:00 p.m. in their regular season finale at Newton’s Cardinal Lanes. The Warrior girls have won seven of their last eight dual meets and are now 8-2 on the season. The boys squad sports a record of 4-6.

The Norwalk basketball teams begin their final week of conference play tonight, hosting Newton in a girl-boy doubleheader at 6:00 p.m. The games will be streamed live on kniakrls.com (KNIA3), beginning with pregame coverage at 5:45.

The Warrior girls moved up one spot to No. 5 in the Class 4A state rankings following last week’s impressive 70-63 win at Dallas Center-Grimes. They are 18-1 overall and tied for first place in the Little Hawkeye standings at 9-1. Norwalk won at Newton 71-24 on January 14 as Braylyn and Bailey Birmingham combined for 50 points.

The Warrior boys are looking to get back on track after losing a pair of games last week. They enter tonight’s contest at 8-9 overall and 6-4 in the LHC. Norwalk won a defensive battle at Newton, 45-38, earlier this season.
