United Way of Jasper County’s “Voices of Inspiration” will kick-off its second annual spring series Thursday, February 27th with a gold medalist. Paralympic Gold Medalist and Archer of the Year Matt Stutzman will speak at the Newton DMACC Auditorium at 6:30 that night.
“Voices of Inspiration” is a free speakers series that’s meant to inspire, motivate, and inform Jasper County residents. United Way of Jasper County Executive Director Jessica Lowe Vokes says the series aligns with the core mission of United Way of Jasper County, which is to uplift and empower the community, and promote life-long learning.
The other spring speakers will be Newton resident and award-winning journalist and author Mike Chapman on March 6th; Rebuild Nepal Education Foundation founder Ernie Schiller and volunteer Nathan Unsworth on March 13th; Former Iowa Lottery CEO, speaker, and author Terry Rich on March 27th; and Donna Reed Foundation’s Mary Owen, the daughter of Donna Reed & TV Producer Tony Owen on April 10th. Doors to the DMACC Auditorium on the Newton Campus will open at 6:00 pm each night with programs beginning at 6:30 pm. Free-will donations are accepted to help continue the speaker series.
