
In a game that came down to the wire the Indianola boys basketball team fell just short against Des Moines Christian Friday night in a game heard live on 94.3 KNIA.
The Indians went into half trailing 32-25 and fell down 49-40 at the end of the third quarter. However, Indianola held the Lions to just five points in the fourth quarter and outscored DMC 10-5 in the frame but came up just short in the last few seconds after a shot to tie the game rattled in and out and The Lions closed out the contest with two free throws to secure the 54-50 win. Indianola was led in scoring by Andrew DeWall and George Blake who both had ten points while Derek Willmott and Hayden Schulte had nine. The Indianola boys fall to 5-14 on the season and will be back in action on Tuesday at Des Moines East.
