Knoxville Volleyball Player Rylyn McCarty has decided to extend her playing career a little longer; she signed a National Letter of Intent to play at Northwestern Oklahoma State University. McCarty helped the Panthers this fall to a 23-17 record and was 3rd on the team with 174 kills and led the Panthers with 75 blocks. McCarty tells KNIA/KRLS Sports she chose Northwestern Oklahoma State due to its small town feel.
McCarty: “I think definitely my experience working with this coach, and it has a hometown feel like Knoxville being a small town and the college is the main attraction in town, and I just wanted that home town to feel.”
Northwestern Oklahoma State is located in Alva, Oklahoma and is called the Rangers. They are an NCAA Division II school, a member of the Great American Conference.
