The Pleasantville boys wrestling team had two wrestlers qualify for state at their home district meet on Saturday as sophomore Zane Mullenix broke the school record for wins in a season.

The Trojans hosted the Class 1A district meet where Mullenix punched his ticket to the state tournament at 157 pounds as a district champion and Cale Sorenson qualified at 126. Also at the meet Tommy Booth, Blake Rowson, and Carson Ammons all placed third in their respective weight class. Mullenix earned his 48th win at the meet breaking the school record for wins in a season to surpass Caleb Cook who had 47. The state tournament will start on Wednesday at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
