The Twin Cedars Boys basketball while avoiding an opening round game from Friday will have to go on the road Monday to begin class 1A District play the 6th seed against 3rd seeded Collins/Maxwell. The Sabers have been playing better as of late with Holden Roberts pushing his points per game up to just over 16. The two teams squared off in January with the Spartans getting a 79-34 win. Twin Cedars Coach Kale Rodrigues tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the key will be to stop Collins/Maxwell’s fast break and three point shooting.

Rodrigues: “So if I can keep them contained in the press and halfcourt I have a feeling we can keep them off the three ball and keep them in a half court game and take the three ball away.”

The Spartans have attempted 422 three point shots this season and have made 124. Tip off is set for 7:00.
