The Knoxville Public Library is holding a documentary screening and live poetry performance on Thursday.
Caleb Rainey will be in attendance for the showing of his documentary “The Negro Artist”. The documentary follows Rainey’s story as a spoken work poet with artistic roots in Eastern Iowa. The event will be held from 6:00-7:00 pm and Knoxville Public Library Director Roslin Thompson hopes everyone can attend.
“He’s going to do a performance. He is a fantastic and very powerful poet and he will do a performance and then we will do a screening of his documentary and we will then do a Q&A.”
The event is free and open to the public.
