The Melcher-Dallas Boys basketball Squad knew it had a near impossible assignment going up against #2 ranked Madrid in the 1st round of the class 1A Substate, and the Tigers proved their ranking and more by sailing past the Saints 119-36 on Monday night. The Saints scored 24 points in the first half, which according to Coach Matt Bennett was actually a high point for an opponent against Madrid in the 1st half. Brody Johnson led with 11 points and Drew Heaberlin scored eight. Melcher-Dallas ends up at 3-17.
