The Pleasantville girls basketball team defeated Van Buren County Tuesday night in the Class 2A Region 1 quarterfinals.

The Trojans picked up the 60-38 win over the Warriors and now improve to 14-9 overall. Joelle Johnson led the Trojans in scoring with 22 points. Pleasantville will now have a tough test in front of them as they will take on top ranked undefeated Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont in the regional semifinals on the road Friday night.
