The Newton School Board is scheduled to get updates on five projects during their regularly scheduled meeting tonight. The latest information on the additions and renovations at Aurora Heights and Thomas Jefferson Elementary schools will be shared, and board members are also expected to get updates on the new visitors bleachers at H.A. Lynn Stadium, the ADA improvements at the high School, and the concession stand and bathroom project at the new baseball field. Adoption of the proposed 2025-2026 Preschool calendar is also on the agenda, and if approved, preschool would start right after Labor Day on September 2nd and end on May 28th, 2026. The Newton School Board meeting begins at 6:30 tonight at the EJH Beard Administration Center on First Avenue West.
