Competing at the 2025 NJCAA Women’s National Bowling Tournament this weekend, 2023 Pella Christian graduate Alexa Klaasen helped lead the Iowa Central Community College squad to a second place finish. Klaasen bowled in all three events for the Tritons at the National Tournament at Airport Lanes in Cheektowaga, New York this past Thursday through Sunday, finishing with a total score of 2112 to take 23rd individually in the 92-person field. In the singles event, Alexa bowled a 150 in the first game, a 165 in the second game, and a 179 in the third game, to finish in 42nd place with a total of 494. As a part of her doubles team, Klassan bowled a three-game series of 515 to help her duo finish with a total score of 1082, which was good for a 10th place finish in the 44-team field. Alexa also competed in the 5 man event at the tournament, finishing with a combined score of 1103, after bowling a 536 in games one through three and a 567 in games four through six.
