Complete results:

School Board to Fill a Vacancy

Write-In – 45 (11.81%)

Public Measure (PPEL Levy)

Yes – 301 (69.84%)

No – 130 (30.16%)

There were 432 total ballots cast and all results are unofficial. DeJong will serve a term through 2027 and has been currently serving on the school board in the interim. The levy is a continuation of a previous levy that was already in place for the district that needs to be renewed every ten years. With the PPEL renewed the district will continue to receive approximately $900,000 annually  to maintain and improve school facilities, upgrade technology and support transportation needs. The PPEL has been in place for decades, and its renewal allows Knoxville CSD to maintain long-term planning for facility upkeep, safety improvements and equipment purchases.
