Knoxville Schools will be closed on Tuesday as the boys basketball team will play in the Iowa High School State Basketball Tournament at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.

The Panthers will play Cedar Rapids Xavier at 10:30 am in the state quarterfinals. Knoxville spectators will sit on the side behind the teams, tickets can be purchased online or at the arena, and Wells Fargo Arena has implemented a clear bag policy for all events. It is also important to note that all spectators from Kindergarten up must purchase a ticket, and no banners, signs, hoops, balloons, or artificial noisemakers are allowed.

The 6-12 band concert scheduled for Tuesday night in the Knoxville High School gym will happen as scheduled, with a 6:30 PM start.
