The Knoxville School Board approved a fee proposal for the track/softball parking lot enhancements project at their most recent meeting.
The fee proposal was approved from CMBA Architects for just over $42,000 which is to provide the schematic design and design development, construction documents, permitting and approval, and construction administration. The district will be constructing a new parking lot at the corner of Panther Dr. and Willetts Dr. currently occupied by a gravel area. This new parking lot will be used for athletic event parking including football, track, soccer, and softball. School Business Manager Craig Mobley says they will now look to receive bids for the project.
“We will move ahead with that process and in the future be receiving bids to see if that is a project that we can complete or not.”
The parking lot would also have new site lighting fixtures.
