A lot of returning talent, plus some newcomers that are either freshman or transfers have greeted Knoxville Boys Track and Field Coach Eric Kellar this early spring. Kellar tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he feels he has guys in just about every event that can allow his team to contend for a South Central Conference title, which the Panthers have won two of the last three seasons ,and allow a more than a few runners and throwers to get to the Blue Oval in May.
Kellar: “We’re pretty solid and that’s the making of a good track team, we have to score in every event. The pieces we have and with Coach Hud and Coach Bacon, they’re amazing coaches so I trust them to fill in the positions of events they’re responsible for, and just hope we’re healthy.”
Knoxville is set to get its season underway on Tuesday April 1st at the Pella Christian Invitational.
