The Indianola City Council met in regular session Monday evening, with Mayor Steve Richardson giving the oath of office to Fire Captains Gerrit Foreman and Austin Van Wyk, and read a proclamation Medal of Honor Recognition Day. The council also approved a change in sewer rates, adding a $1 increase to base rates and a $1 increase to the usage fees in a 4-1 vote with councilman Steve Armstrong voting against, approved the rezoning application for Pickard Estates from agricultural to residential, and held discussions regarding the Kentucky Ridge Development and Vision 2030.
