The first outdoor event of the season for Knoxville track and field squads will be for the girls as the Panthers head to Indianola for the Simpson College Invitational. Knoxville hopes to get several baselines as the season starts and one of the areas of hope for good success is the distance events. Coach Michael Splavec tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the distance events will be led by a soft spoken junior Nicole Schultz.

Splavec: “You won’t hear her talk much, but Nicole Schultz, she’s real quiet, but she seem to have a little bit of speed up her sleeve at the end, and Mrs. Splavec is really excited to see what she and the other girls can do this season.”

This will be the first meet of the season for Knoxville as the Panthers did not go to any indoor meets in the preseason.
