
The Indianola boys and girls track and field teams each took home a first place finish at the Simpson HS Invite on Tuesday, starting their outdoor season, the girls scoring 200 points and the boys 161.5.
Girls top finishers included a 1st place finish from Madi Grover in the 400m Hurdles, Paige Hoger in the 800m, Jordyn Brown in the 3000m, Gabby Akin in the Long Jump, and the Sprint Medley, Shuttle Hurdle, Distance Medley, and 4x400m Relays all earned the top spot.
On the boys side, Isaac Johnson won the 400m, Aiden Curtis won the Discus, Lathan McDaniel the Shot Put, and the Distance Medley team all took home first, while the Sprint Medley, 4x400m Relay, and Reed Robbins in the 1600m took home second.
The boys travel to Waukee Northwest tomorrow, while the girls wait until Monday to return to Simpson College for the Warren County Invitational.
