The Knoxville Public Library will be holding an open book program on Thursday.

The title of the presentation is “Read any good People Lately?”, and focuses on the stories told from those around us rather than the stories within books. The program encourages people to see that sharing stories about our different experiences can create a better understanding of each other, our differences, and community. JJ Kapur and Zach Mecham will be visiting the Knoxville Public Library as part of the event to share their stories to connect with the community Library Director Roslin Thompson says the people acting as books will share their personal stories.

“This is a program where humans are considered books and they will actually tell you their story. On that night at 6:00 we will have two of our presenters tell you their story on how they lived in Iowa and they will talk about their lives.”

All library programming is free and open to the public.
