The second work session for the annual budget process was held Tuesday night by the Pella City Council. The meeting included another round of department leaders highlighting financial needs and key projects for the next five years and the upcoming fiscal year. Tuesday’s meeting included leadership from the Electric, Pella Public Works, and Pella Community Services departments. Some of the key projects discussed for the next 12 months include: Advanced Metering Infrastructure for electricity; Lincoln Street reconstruction, Kwik Star intersection improvements, and extension of Baseline Drive; construction of a Dog Park at Lake Red Rock in a sharing agreement with the city; and the continued long term facilities plan discussion related to the Pella Community Center and building of a new indoor recreation facility.
