Pella’s first responders were recognized for their efforts on Thursday night. Annually, Pella’s Mayor and City Council recognize the volunteers and part-time staff who supplement the community’s public safety departments, including Pella Fire, Pella Community Ambulance, and the Pella Police Department.

This year’s honorees include:

Austin Vander Linden with 10 years of service as a firefighter
Jim Gosselink with 25 years of service as a firefighter
Greg Stump retiring with 25 years of service as a firefighter
Glenn Meinders with 30 years of service as a police reserve
Fire Chief Randy Bogaard with 40 years of service
Joel Braafhart retiring with 45 years of service as a firefighter
