The Tulip Queen and Royal Court kicked off their journey to promote the 90th Annual Tulip Time this week. It started with their first public performance on Tuesday and a stop at the Iowa Capitol Building on Wednesday. Queen Addison Bandstra and the court of Claire Westerkamp, Lyndi Schulte, Maggie Heinen, and Ella Van Waarhuizen met with Governor Kim Reynolds as part of the visit aiming to encourage attendance at Tulip Time May 1st through the 3rd. While they are hoping to attract visitors to the celebration, Bandstra also encourages community members to attend and volunteer to support the festival.
