After a Cinderella run to the class 3A State Tournament last season, the Indianola boys soccer team is primed for another run with high expectations this season. The Indians went just 6-14 last season, battling injuries the entire season and dropping five one-goal contests, but will bring back six of their top seven scorers from last season, keeper Noah Kjellberg, and are buoyed by multiple new athletes joining the team. Head coach Heath Weeks tells KNIA Sports the Indians are ready for a more attacking mindset and will look to keep constant pressure on teams by keeping possession of the ball and in their opponents half of the field. The Indians have a scrimmage today at WDM Valley, before getting their season started on Tuesday hosting Lewis Central.
