Iowa State University Extension and Outreach in Marion County is holding a livestock showmanship clinic on Sunday, April 13th.
The event will be held at the Marion County Fairgrounds and is a way to come and learn about each species of animal and prepare for the county fair. Attendees can attend as many sessions as they would like even if they don’t have an animal yet and each session will have a presenter to demonstrate and help answer questions. The clinic will start at 2:00 pm and the order starts with sheep, followed by goats, poultry, rabbits, bottle animals, beef and swine; with each session lasting from 30 minutes to an hour. The RSVP deadline for this clinic is April 7th and registration can be done by calling the Marion County Extension Office.
