The Newton boys soccer team opens the season at Norwalk at 7:30 p.m. tonight. Finding offense is a key for Cardinals head coach Zach Jensen, with the team returning just two players at the varsity level that combined to score two goals last season. Norwalk’s roster has players that scored 16 goals a year ago. In addition to the boys soccer team, The Newton girls track and field squad  is back inaction today at 4:30 p.m. in Colfax after ten days off. The Cardinal girls will compete against seven other schools at the Colfax-Mingo co-ed meet.
