The Pleasantville track and field teams and boys golf team will be in action today.

The Pleasantville boys track and field team will compete at Pella Christian in a meet that will feature seven other teams as the girls track and field team will compete in Bloomfield at a meet hosted by Davis County also featuring seven other teams. The Trojan track and field teams both had a brief indoor season at the beginning of March as the girls competed at the UNI Dickinson Relays and both teams competed at the IATC Indoor Championships. Both meets today start at 4:30 pm.

The Trojan boys golf team will open their season at a quad hosted at The Preserve in Moravia. Along with Pleasantville the meet will feature Moravia, Chariton, and Centerville. Last year Pleasantville finished their season with a second place finish at their sectional meet hosted by Pella Christian and finished fifth at their district meet at Lake Panorama. The Trojans are under the direction of new head coach Sheldon Card this season who is the former long time baseball coach at Pleasantville. The Trojans are returning all but two golfers from last year’s team. Today’s quad starts at 4:00 pm.
