After a dominant season on vault, Kaelyn Tally of the Simpson College women’s gymnastics team has etched her name in history as the program’s first-ever All-American. She was named to the Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Second Team after posting an impressive 9.730 average on vault.

Tally’s All-American recognition follows a stellar postseason performance, where she scored 9.725 at the NCGA Championships, narrowly missing All-American honors at that event. Throughout the regular season, she captured six vault titles and set a new program record with a 9.800 in a home meet against Gustavus Adolphus.

The Grants Pass, Ore., native also shined on floor, averaging 9.695 while securing two gold and two silver medals. Her standout performances earned her WIAC Specialist of the Week honors (Feb. 11) and an All-WIAC selection on vault.
