The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce hosted an open house and ribbon cutting on Friday for Pierschbacher Funeral Home’s new facility in Knoxville.

A large group of community members came out to the new facility for the ribbon cutting, a look around the building, socializing with staff, and a meal. Pierschbacher purchased Knoxville’s Williams Funeral Home in October of 2023 and the Winfield Funeral Home in March of 2023, and merged the two businesses into the facility at the site of the former Knoxville Administration Building. Knoxville Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Nathan Sage this was a great way to celebrate the new facility.

“From a ribbon cutting stand point it’s always great to bring out everyone to celebrate what’s going on and what’s new. This is what these ribbon cuttings are, something new and something awesome to celebrate. This ribbon cutting here specifically it’s awesome to check out this new facility for Pierschbacher because this used to be the old admin building where they would have school board meetings and now it’s a new event space and I’m really excited for the future of this building.”

The 16,000 square-foot facility will serve as a funeral home, and have enough space to hold larger funerals, memorials, celebrations of life, and events. The new facility will have a large chapel and reception area, celebration place or meeting room for events, a kitchen, and offices.
