Recently graduated Central College softball shortstop Carson Fisk was awarded the National Strength and Conditioning Association All-American Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year award.

The strength and conditioning athlete of the year award program recognizes collegiate and high school athletes whose athletic accomplishments reflect their dedication to strength training and conditioning. Fisk served as a captain on Central’s American Rivers Conference championship squad last year, which also advanced to the NCAA Division III super regionals. In her senior year on the field, Fisk hit .245 while starting in every game. She scored 23 runs and had 10 RBIs, while also carrying a .351 on base percentage and .929 fielding percentage.

Since graduating, Carson has been employed as a first-grade teacher at Spring Creek Elementary School in Bonita Springs, Florida.
