The Knoxville chapter of Freedom for Youth will hold their annual teen Easter egg hunt on Friday and Saturday.
The event will be held at Community Four Square Church in Knoxville from 5-7 pm on Friday, and from 11 am-1 pm on Saturday. The Easter egg hunt on Friday will be for kids in grades 5-8 and Saturday’s event will be for those in grades 9-12, and both will include the egg hunt, prizes, pizza, and a story talking about the true meaning of Easter. Angie Gentry with Freedom for Youth hopes all teens in the community come out to take part in the fun.
“It’s a fun, easy way if you kind of want to check out Freedom for Youth but you don’t want to come to a regular program. Feel free to just stop by and participate in this program. It’s a no pressure situation. It’s genuinely designed to be just super fun for that teen age group and we just want them to leave feeling they had a great time.”
Funding for the event came from the grant Freedom for Youth received from the Knoxville RAGBRAI Executive Committee.
