The Newton dog that’s the focus of a new movie called “The Friend” will be at Newton’s Capitol II Theatre Sunday and Wednesday. The Great Dane named “Bing” is owned and trained by Bev Klingensmith of Newton. The Capitol II Theater is also showing the movie starring Naomi Watts and Bill Murrary. “Bing” and Klingensmith have appeared on numerous national morning television programs promoting the film, and will host a question and answer session at the Newton Theatre Sunday afternoon and Wednesday evening. Those sessions will follow the showing of the movie, which starts at 1p.m. Sunday and 6 p.m. Wednesday.
