
It was all Knoxville at the Saydel Girls Tennis Invitational on Saturday as the Panthers swept the singles and doubles championships. Janie Maasdam rolled to a win in singles by defeating Kylee Johnson of Saydel 6/2 and 6/2 then pulled the sweep over the Eagles with a victory in the championship match over Lizzy Nicholson 6/3 and 6/1. Addy Dunkin continued her solid start to the season with a 3rd place after defeating Saydel’s Johnson in the 3rd place match. In doubles, like singles, all Knoxville as the Panther duo of Marlea Cox and Iselynn Prevo defeated a team from Southwest Valley in the semifinals then defeated Southwest Valley’s #2 team in the final. 3rd place Bridgette Liston and Macy Cox. Knoxville more than had enough points to secure first place overall with 20 next to Southwest Valley’s nine. Monday, the Panthers will host Nevada at the Joel Tonda Tennis Courts.
