Athletes from Pella, Pella Christian, Indianola, and Norwalk were among a field featuring some of Iowa’s best at the state track and field meet venue Saturday in the 2025 Jim Duncan Invitational.

No team scores were kept, but the event at Drake Stadium featured some of the best schools in the CIML, Raccoon River, and Little Hawkeye Conferences and had those teams put together several strong events in their lineups in an attempt to qualify for the upcoming Drake Relays in less than two weeks.

Multiple KNIA/KRLS area athletes did so by breaking Blue Standards on Saturday, including:
Bailey Vos, Pella Christian, 400 meters – 57.03 (also broke her own school record) – 1st place
Pella Boys Distance Medley – 3:30.37 (Colin Kerndt, Bailey Shetterly, Harrison Mullens, Canaan Dunham) – 2nd place
Marissa Ferebee, 1500 Meters – 4:42.86 – 2nd place
Pella Girls 4×100 – 50.31 (Abigail Melvin, Haylie DeVries, Aurora Rankin, Genevieve Treur) – 6th Place
Pella Christian Girls 4×400 – 4:00.59 (Rachel Kacmarynski, Meredith Van Wyk, Amaia Agre, Bailey Vos) – 1st Place
