The Simpson College baseball team split a doubleheader on the road Saturday against Loras College and picked up the American Rivers Conference series win heard live on 94.3 KNIA.

The Storm gave up 20 runs in game one to drop the contest 20-9 in seven innings. Simpson went with five different pitchers in game one with none of them throwing more than 1 ⅔ innings. Starting pitcher Eli Feekin picked up the loss giving up seven earned runs. Despite the loss in game one, the Storm were able to scatter nine hits from six different players.

Game two was a hit parade for Simpson as they accumulated 22 runs off of 21 hits in the contest for a 22-15 win. In the win, nine different Storm players had hits with Jacob Roberts hitting two home runs and Kasey Carter picking up four hits. The Storm pitching staff struggled in game two of the doubleheader giving up 18 hits to the Duhawks but the offense picked the team up scoring in every inning besides the third. 

The Storm improve to 11-15 on the season and 5-7 in conference play. The Simpson College baseball team will be back in action on Tuesday against Nebraska Wesleyan.
